Porsche Boxster S 2013

Porsche Boxster S 2013

Hello and welcome to my motoring blog, today I will be making a review on a rather spectacular car, not one that is to expensive to ever afford, or one that is meant for the race track with the top performance figures, no today I will be looking at a great super car for Less money than you think.

My First Thoughts

Considering the Porsche Boxter has been redounded as the poor person Porsche I have to say this title needs to be taken away, the design looks brilliant, glad to see it's using a manual gearbox, great looking convertible have to say I don't like the look of the lights but over all this is a very pretty car.

The Price

This is one of the few super cars that I have reviewed that is Under £100,000, for a not unreasonable £45,384 this is for a new version now it is unfair to compare it to lets say a Lamborghini Aventador or a Bugatti veyron with the unbelievable power figures and price range this how ever is in a league of its own, the 2013 Porsche Boxster S is a staggering piece of machinery one of the best looking cars you will see on the road, it has a somewhat elegant look to it yet and practical too, yet if you put it into Sport Plus mode you will see a much bigger kick, and with it already being over a year old already you could possible bag yourself a Porsche boxster S for under £40,000.

The Details

Porsche have included a range of features into the Boxster S, with a Mid Engine, rear wheeled drive (RWD) 3.4 litre Flat-6 Engine, with a low BHP of 311 and a max torque of 265lb ft at 4500 rpm, now this isn't as powerful as I would like it to be, but this is still a reasonable super car which can do a 0-62 in 5.1 seconds and have a top speed of 172 MPH, The Boxster S also has a massive array of optional extras, these include.
  • Sports Chrono Package
  • 7 speed-PDK
  • Cruise Control £267
  • Heated seats £283
  • Power folding mirrors £202
  • Automatic version £1,922
  • Built In Sat Nav £2,141
These are only some of the (expensive) optional extras that is available.

Extra Fact

It take 9 second for the roof to fully retract travelling a speed of 31 MPH.

Conclusion

Their has been a lot of talk about the Porsche Boxster S and its electric steering and how this is a bad thing, In my opinion I have not got a problem with the electric steering yes it may take a bit to get used too but it is still a great improvement from the old Porsche boxster's with all the new features Porsche have made this super car faster and cleverer than ever before.
