A quick look at the McLaren P1

McLaren P1

Hello and welcome, here I am going to talk about the McLaren P1, The McLaren P1 is the long awaited successor to the McLaren F1 of 1994.

Black Mclaren P1

My first thoughts

Well what can I say, this car is amazing, the looks the are fantastic and I believe that McLaren have done an amazing job.

The Price

First up the price, at a massive price of £866,000 you will be expecting a lot from this car, but to help you make your mind up if you think that this astonishing car is worth that much, put into consideration to the fact that McLaren are only making 375 versions of this car, but unfortunately McLaren have already found homes for the amazing P1, although if you ever get a chance to own one of these cars I believe that the price of this car will sky rocket in a few years.

The details

The McLaren has an 3.8 litre V8 engine, it produces 727 bhp at 7300 rpm and 531 lb ft at 4000 bhp, this means that it can go 0-60 in 2.8 seconds, it can go 0-100 mp in under 6 seconds and from 0-200 mph in under 20 seconds, now that is an astonishing piece of engineering, The McLaren P1 not only has a massive V8 engine under the hood, but an electric motor that produces an extra 186 bhp and 192 lb of torque, so combined this vehicle can produce a massive 903 bhp and 664 lb of torque, the electric motor works by using lithium ion batteries.

Extra fact

The McLaren P1 have teamed up with akebono, using there special brake's this car will be subject to 800 degrees, the brake disk is so hard they are near indestructible, and I believe they should last the for the life of car.
